SOMAJEB is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Moroccan Law no. 09-08.

Introduction

SOMAJEB ("we", "our") respects the privacy of visitors to somajeb.com and is committed to protecting their personal data in accordance with Moroccan Law no. 09-08 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, and its implementing decree no. 2-09-165.

Data we collect

When you use our contact or quote-request forms, we collect the following data:

  • First and last name
  • Company name (optional)
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Content of your message or request
  • Reference of the product concerned (if applicable)

No sensitive data (racial origin, political opinions, religion, health, sexual orientation, etc.) is collected through this site.

For purely technical and statistical purposes we also collect browsing data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) via server access logs. This data is kept in an anonymised form.

Purposes of processing

  • Reply to your quote and contact requests
  • Establish, manage and execute our commercial relationship
  • Provide after-sales and maintenance follow-up
  • Improve the quality of our site and services
  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations (notably tax and accounting requirements)

Legal basis

  • Your consent expressed when submitting a form
  • Pre-contractual measures taken at your request (quotes, technical exchanges)
  • Performance of a contract once you become a customer
  • Our legitimate interest in developing and improving our business

Recipients

Your data is intended exclusively for authorised internal departments at SOMAJEB (sales, technical and administrative teams). It is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Our technical providers (web host, Hostinger email, Google Maps) may have access to some data strictly for the purpose of their services, under contractual confidentiality and in compliance with Law no. 09-08.

Retention period

  • Quote and prospect contact data: active relationship + 3 years after last contact
  • Customer contractual data: relationship duration + 10 years (accounting/tax obligations)
  • Technical access logs: 12 months maximum
  • Contact form data (no follow-up): 3 years maximum

Security

  • HTTPS only, with a valid Let's Encrypt certificate
  • Emails sent over SMTPS (port 465, TLS)
  • Strong, regularly rotated passwords for admin accounts
  • Hosted on dedicated infrastructure with restricted access
  • Regular database backups

Your rights

Under Law no. 09-08 you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: obtain confirmation of whether your data is being processed and request a copy
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: request erasure of your data
  • Objection: object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of your data
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting prior lawfulness

To exercise these rights, write to contact@somajeb.com with a copy of an identity document. We undertake to reply within 30 days.

You may also file a complaint with Morocco's National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP) — Rabat — www.cndp.ma.

No advertising, profiling or third-party tracking cookies are dropped. No additional consent is required for these functional cookies.
